ARE YOU A REGISTERED BREEDER?

HOW DO YOU RAISE YOUR PUPPIES?

We are a registered ANKC breeder and can provide to you a copy of our current membership card with Dogs SA.

Our puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture Technique which includes clicker training. They are also exposed to children, other dogs and cats, noises (such as vacuums, radios, televisions etc etc,) and basic toilet and crate training to start them on their way. We are very hands on with our babies and raise them very much with the best intentions and best start in life. They are feed premium puppy food (Royal Canin) are raised in pristine conditions and very much apart of our family until they leave to their new families.

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR PUPPIES?

WHAT ARE YOUR DOGS TEMPERMENTS LIKE?

Our prices will be set at the time of any litter being born but will fall into line with other ANKC border collies breeders.  Your puppy will come with limited registered pedigree papers, first vaccinations, microchip, free six weeks of pet insurance along with a puppy pack if you are lucky to be a successful applicant.

Our dogs have wonderful temperaments, adore children are used to tractors, horses and farm life in general. We believe our pups will be a fabulous addition as a next forever family member.

DO YOU HEALTH TEST THE PARENTS OF YOUR LITTER?

WHAT REGISTER ARE PUPPIES PLACED?

Both parents of our puppies are DNA tested for the below hereditary diseases and sire and dam are hip and elbowed scored. When planning a litter we ensure the parents of our puppies can never produce a puppy that is affected by any of these diseases:


  1. Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (CL)

  2. Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA),

  3. Glaucoma (GLAU)

  4. Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS)

  5. Cobalamin Malabsorption 

  6. Degenerative Myelopathy

  7. Ivermectin Sensitivity MDR1

  8. Primary Lens Luxation

  9. Raine Syndrome Dental Hypomineralisation  

Most of our puppies will be registered on the ANKC limited register.  Limited Register means that you can not show or breed your puppy. You can however still compete in dogs sports such as obedience, agility and herding.

 

Some puppies considered worthy of the show ring may be sold on the ANKC  Main register. Consideration will be given to applicants who hold a valid ANKC kennel prefix and proven to be responsible in breeding and showing practices with the best interests of the dog and breed at heart.
